Ellis Seawall

The Michael J. Ellis Seawall was built in the 1960s and rebuilt after it was destroyed by Hurricane Allen in 1980. It is named after the founder of the Island Moon and protects island homes from hurricane tidal surges. It is also the island promenade and fronts the city’s business beach.
